Simple PDF ("we", "us") operates getsimplepdf.com. This policy explains what information is and is not collected when you use this website, and how advertising and cookies work here. We have built this site to be privacy-first, and the most important point is simple: the files you process with our tools never leave your device.

Your files are processed locally

Every tool on this site — merging, splitting, rotating, extracting and deleting pages, converting images, and optimizing PDFs — runs entirely inside your web browser using JavaScript. When you select a PDF or image, it is read into your browser's memory on your own computer or phone, the operation is performed there, and the result is downloaded directly back to you. Your documents are never uploaded to our servers, never transmitted to any third party, and never stored by us. We have no ability to see, access, or retain the contents of the files you work with.

Information we collect

We do not ask you to create an account and we do not request personal information to use the tools. Like most websites, our hosting provider and content delivery network may automatically process standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, for the purposes of delivering the site and protecting it from abuse. This site does not maintain its own marketing database of users.

Cookies & your choices

When advertising or analytics are enabled, we show a cookie banner the first time you visit. It lets you Accept all or Reject all non-essential cookies, and rejecting is just as easy as accepting. Until you choose, we use Google's Consent Mode v2: for visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, advertising and analytics storage default to denied, so no analytics or advertising cookies are set until you opt in.
