About Simple PDF

Free, privacy-first PDF tools that run entirely in your browser.

Our mission

Simple PDF exists to make everyday PDF tasks — merging, splitting, rotating, extracting and deleting pages, converting images, and optimizing files — simple, fast, and genuinely private. We believe these basic tools should be available to everyone without a subscription, an account, or the need to hand your documents to a stranger's server. Whether you are a student combining lecture notes, a freelancer assembling an invoice, or someone who just needs to pull a couple of pages out of a report, the tools here are meant to get the job done in a few clicks.

Privacy first, by design

Most online PDF tools work by uploading your files to a remote server, processing them there, and sending the result back. That model puts your documents — which often contain personal or sensitive information — into someone else's hands. We took a different path. Every tool on this site runs in your web browser using modern, open-source technology. Your files are read and processed on your own device and are never uploaded to us or anyone else. This is not a promise we ask you to take on faith; it is simply how the site is built.

Why it is free

Running a useful set of tools and a fast website still has costs, so this site is supported by unobtrusive advertising through Google AdSense. That advertising is what keeps the tools free for you to use, with no sign-up, no watermark on your files, and no artificial daily limits. We would rather show a few ads than charge you or, worse, monetize your data. You can read exactly how ads and cookies work on our Privacy Policy page.

How we keep the tools honest

We try not to overpromise. When a browser-based approach has limits — for example, our Compress tool performs a lossless re-save rather than aggressively re-encoding images, because true image recompression would mean uploading your file — we say so plainly on the page instead of claiming results we cannot deliver locally. We would rather you trust what the tools actually do than be disappointed by an exaggerated promise.
